"IN THE LAND OF BUDDHA!" - a poem by my friend Ratan

I would have liked to write about my friend Ratan, but perhaps a quadruple of posts can only do the justice to him, me and the world both of us share. Ratan is in Allahabad and will remain so, as he is planning to shift from Delhi to there, it appears ... completely. Here is a poem by him, the theme is based on Genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

"IN THE LAND OF BUDDHA!"

haa lankesh,
haa haa lankesh !
naash karo tum naash karo,
niti,riti,
sab prit ka,
vichaar, gyan,
tum manav-man ka,
naash karo tum naash karo,
haa lankesh,

boond boond kya?
tum dhaara bahaavo,
hind mahaasagar tum lal karo,
samundr jal kuchh aur khaara ho,
bhishaan tum chitkar karo,
haa lankesh,
haa haa lankesh !
nanhon ko tum bikhlane do,
karo tarunon ka tum kop bhaakshaann,
man kanpe.........

haa lankesh,

karo tum bhishaan haal-chaal,
dekho yah chita fir n dahaad sake,
usakee aatma bhi n chinghaad sake,
golion kee tum jhaadi lagao,
nabh se bhi aag barasavo,
haa lankesh,

aaj n tumhe koee ram rokega,
n hi tumhe buddh ka gyan rokega,
nahin ruddh karega koee mahaadanav kee gati,
tum manavata ka kal karo,

Praying for "love"

Dear Love, I am sitting beside you. I know you are ill for several days. Your health looks miserable and many a times you were not able to respond. I have been busy in my work, and could not take care of yours. I am feeling really bad and guilty for my behavior. Is Education becoming too costly ... ?

Thus, I am back to Bangalore . It was (as should be) very nice and refreshing Home going, also the social thinker within me was kept alive (in silent mode) and lot a many social fabrics were unthreading themselves in my imagination.
